Telehealth

The Government has introduced new COVID-19 Medicare Telehealth items.

From Monday 30 March to 30 September all Australians that are eligible to receive services under Medicare, will be able to access to psychological services delivered via telehealth (i.e., videoconference or phone).

This allows psychologists to provide phone and/or video-conference services for clients at no extra cost that include:

  • Focussed Psychological Strategies items (FPS)
  • Autism management items
  • Chronic disease management items

Please discuss these with your doctor to determine the most appropriate intervention for you or your child.

The eligible interventions remain the same for each of the Medicare initiatives when provided face-to-face.

Our psychologists are available to support you through these difficult times. Please speak with your GP and seek a referral to our service.
